    This has nothing to do with healthcare or homeless! When will you ignorant bastards stop bringing that crap up for everything? If you’re really from “across the pond” NolanRogers2, then you have no room to talk! I do believe that the English just celebrated Guy Fawkes Night! Which is celebrated with a bonfire and fireworks. I’m also pretty sure that there are homeless there! Anyway… Long live Aggie Tradition! Gig ‘Em and WHOOP! And BTW Materials for Bonfire were donated… AKA- FREE!

    @NolanRogers2 Get a life. Quit trolling every A&M video.

  3. vanylla828 Says:

    God bless those lost and affected by this tragedy! Whoop!

  4. NolanRogers2 Says:

    In Chicago, 5,922 people are currently estimated to be homeless. This figure was derived from the 2007 point-in-time count mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

    I just saw a American show called “Pregnant and Homeless” were a couple were living in a tent and expecting a baby. I was discussed.

    I see things like that and it angers me. And to see a bunch of College Elitists wasting money on a stupid bonfire makes me angry more.

    I wish peace to you and yours.

  6. jackitup52 Says:

    @NolanRogers2 wealthy to afford such. i have no money to be spending on others health care when i can already not afford my own. not all of us can afford to pick up the slack from others. I am pretty sure in saying there are things in your life that you could cut out and make up for such people, i can’t. I need to pay all of my ultilties, even internet is a must as my brother needs it to finish his schooling. so before you dog me for my feelings on such a plan, understand my sitiuation.

  7. jackitup52 Says:

    @NolanRogers2 half assed job done by a man who unfortunately is not providing us the public option as promised. i voted and approved of this, but what i didn’t want to approve of was a severe hike in the amount i pay. I don’t have the money to pay for others to use a health care system that is all in all doomed to fail. I would rather spend my money more wisely and make sure i can provide FOOD, SHELTER, and HEALTH CARE TO MY OWN CHILD. so excuse me for calling you a jack ass but we are not all

  8. jackitup52 Says:

    @NolanRogers2
    well i apologize earlier as i said i found out my company was raising my health care costs. i have to raise a child and take care of my wife, plus help put my younger brother through college because my parents are gone. I don’t have the luxary to worry about others as I already have enough to do. I have an entire family to take care of on a budget that is already exhausted and will be more so starting next year if this health care plan is put through. i want a good plan not some

  9. NolanRogers2 Says:

    @jackitup52

    You are the jackass that thinks it is A OK for 5 million children to be without health care in the USA. In Britain every child is covered – can YOU say that about your “Health” system?

    You yanks think you are so bloody brilliant but you have people living under bridges and in tents because of your lousy sense of Social Justice.

    EVERY HUMAN BEING deserves help when they are sick – not just the wealthy or more fortunate. And if you can’t see that then I feel sorry for you.

  10. jackitup52 Says:

    @NolanRogers2
    There is no bonfire jackass…that is the whole point of this discussion. Plus this is America you have the right to spend your money on what you deem. I personally agree with you, but it still doesn’t change the fact of the matter it is their right to spend their money. As for a National Health Care System, ask the Brits, it is apparent it doesnt work. My health care according to my company nexy year will increase from 380 a month to over a 1,000 because of your health care plan

  11. NolanRogers2 Says:

    @jackitup52

    I think of the thousands wasted on this stupid bonfire over the years and the Millions of Americans on food stamps and living without Health Care.

    You americans have such lopsided and askew priorities. Do you realize that there are 5 million American children living without health care in the USA?

    What is a stupid meaningless bonfire compared to that?

  12. jackitup52 Says:

    @lamardarren :) i am glad, but i agree there needs to be more spent towards improving the lives of not only the rich but the poor and disab. we ignore them to much in the country

  13. lamardarren Says:

    @jackitup52

    Fair enough…..I hear you man.

  14. jackitup52 Says:

    @lamardarren
    i am not saying i don’t agree with you, it is just the state of texas and the univerisity, and the people that have attended there feel the need for such traditions, it is over and done with because of the safety risk but it is still their own right to choose. i am sure where ever you attended has traditions that you did, do you feel they are stupid? if so ok, that is your right, but if not think how your feel about your alma matter and its traditions.

  15. jackitup52 Says:

    i am sorry that you feel that way. that school has a right to spend its money and more an likely that money was donated to the school for the purpose of that tradition by those who gave it to them. it is their money not yours, you cannot dicate another person on how to spend their own goods. those traditions that a school holds so dear are done by anybody that wants to attend. I am going to say some of those who donate are minorites. also some of those who participate are minorites.

  16. lamardarren Says:

    @jackitup52

    That money wasted on stupid college traditions like a huge Bonfire SHOULD be put to better use like Scholarships for Minority people.

    It is sad that 12 people had to die but now that the bonfire is banned that money could go to helping the poor and disadvantaged.

    Elitist Traditions do not help the broad majority of people.

  17. jackitup52 Says:

    @LouisFreind101
    that is the most ignorant quote. University of Texas has a bunch of stupid traditions as well. Your band runs around in the most god awful looking uniforms. the hook em’ horns sign is a stupid tradition. you worship football and university of texas just as much as anybody at A&M does for their school. this is about remembering those who fell that horrible night, not about wether a tradition is or is not a blind worship of a tradition. respect

  18. aznelite325 Says:

    I’ve only been at A&M for a year now, but the Aggie Family already means more to me than almost anything in the world. I’ve gone to every Silver Taps since becoming a student and (performed in [SC]) Muster as well as the 10th year anniversary Bonfire memorial service. This video still makes me tear-up every time I see it. We will always remember.

  19. pogomwg Says:

    @LouisFreind101 i hope you die in a fire

  22. crusaderbro5230 Says:

    dude come on, i love Texas, Hook Em’, but u cant call this stupid

  23. LouisFreind101 Says:

    I am glad the stupid Aggie Bonfire is BANNED.

    Stupid blind worship of a meaningless senseless tradition.

    GO LONGHORNS!!!!

  24. zcall27 Says:

    dude i dont care who you are. thats low! if you feel the need to be disrepectful dont do it on a memorial video for 12 people who died!
    we may be a bunch of rednecks, but at least we have respect!
